Submission Guidelines
Each year thousands of writers fail to find the right publisher. Many times it's not
about the book, but rather about the author's versus the publisher's expectations.
There are eight major elements that we will use to evaluate whether or not to
publish your book. Provide us, please, with brief, quantitative responses to the
following questions. Your responses are the beginning of the process that will
help us both make the right decision.
- What is your book about? i.e. What is your niche topic?
- What are the three key points that readers will learn from your book?
- Who is its targeted audience?
- Why will that targeted audience buy this book?
- Why are you the right person to write this book?
- What are the competitive titles currently on the market?
- Why is your book better, different or more likely to sell than these titles?
- How do you plan to use this book to make more rain?
We don't need a formal book proposal, but if you're interested there are several
excellent books on writing book proposals - these books may help you answer
our questions more specifically.
We recommend the following:
- Write the Perfect Book Proposal by Jeff Herman and Deborah Levine
Herman
- How to Write a Book Proposal by Michael Larsen
We're happy to discuss your book with you. You can call us, or you can email us
your thoughts.
